RARE VARIETIES CAVY CLUB
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Formed in the late 60’s this club now looks after the
interests of the
following rare (and not so rare) breeds of cavies that
do not have their
own specialist club:
Tortoiseshell, Brindle, Tri/Bicolours, Satin, Harlequin,
Magpie, Argente, Slate, Sable, Ridgeback, Tan,
Fox, Teddy, Pink-eyed Cream, Belted
In addition, we manage the mechanism through which new
breeds are considered for entry to the wider cavy fancy
and
represent these breeds in discussions with the British
Cavy
Council (BCC).
We hold up to seven area shows each year in different
venues
throughout the country. Diploma
competition,
rosettes, trophies, Championship scheme, handbook and
access to a
club library of cavy books and papers are a few of the
benefits available
to members.
